Finley Center’s Main Arena Court Dedicated in Honor of Coach Kevin Billerman

Longtime boys varsity basketball coach Kevin Billerman was celebrated by family members, friends, colleagues and former players at an Aug. 4, 2019, reception recognizing the naming of A.E. Finley Activity Center's Main Arena court in his honor.

Billerman joined Ravenscroft in 2000. In 2007, he received the Helton Award, which recognizes excellence in teaching and distinguished service to the school. He became assistant head of Upper School for student leadership in 2014.

In his nearly 20 years as a coach (and counting!), Billerman has compiled an impressive overall record of 422-157 and 18 TISAC conference titles. He led the Ravens to the NCISAA state championship finals in 2003, 2005 and 2009 and a win in 2012, finishing that season with a 31-3 record. His players have gone on to play at Duke University, UNC-Chapel Hill, NC State, Florida State, Louisville and many others.

The court dedication was made possible by the generosity of nearly 50 donors, many of whom are Ravenscroft basketball alumni and were in attendance at the ceremony.

Enjoy these photos from the dedication ceremony!

From all of us here today, on this vibrant campus now celebrating 50 years of growth and success: thank you for everything you do to help us fulfill our mission of nurturing individual potential and preparing students to thrive in a complex and interdependent world.
